Past Prophetic Words
Give Thanks! The Key to BreakthroughPsalm 107 begins with the words, “Give thanks to the Lord for He is good; His love endures forever!” This psalm then goes on to recount the many ways that God has displayed His goodness to His children throughout the ages. After each reminder of His acts of deliverance and goodness there is a declaration of “Give thanks to the Lord…” As I was reading this psalm this morning I had a picture in my mind of the Lord riding swiftly upon the praises of His people. In this picture there was a sickle in His hand and with this sickle He was removing the thorns and thistles that had entrapped many of His sons and daughters from moving forward. This still picture then began to have movement and turned into a vision of men and women who were trapped and in great distress but their cries for help turned into shouts that declared His goodness. As they releases these declarations of His goodness, a great acceleration took place and as He rode upon the praises of thanksgiving this sickle quickly and suddenly freed them from this captivity. Then as they were freed from their captivity the sacrifice of thanksgiving permeated their entire being and they began to ride with the Lord and together they went forth with this sickle to free men, cities, nations and the captives who would join God’s great end time army. “Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind. Let them sacrifice thank offerings and tell of his works with songs of joy.” Psalm 107:21-22 I sensed that there is a “sacrifice of thanksgiving” that the Spirit is prompting many to release in this hour. It may be a shout, a declaration or an act of sacrificial thanksgiving that declares His goodness to you and to mankind. This will be the key to your breakthrough! Don’t release it merely for the sake of breakthrough but because it is truth and He is worthy! |
He is Holding YouI woke up this morning with deep compassion in my heart for those who are hurting. It is a compassion stronger than my human emotions or ability to muster up; it is the Father’s compassion for His children who are hurting.
Many of you reading this have fought so hard to stay in faith and bravely clung to your determination to believe in God’s promises despite adversity. You have wondered why others are experiencing breakthrough and you are not. You feel very alone in this battle. But I hear the Spirit saying that you are not alone! The Father’s arms are open and He desires for you to surrender all of your pain, disappointment and fear to His powerful embrace. He will hold you and His perfect love will heal your pain, renew your hope and calm your fears. This is a real invitation, not just a nice picture. Get somewhere that you can be still and receive the invitation for Him to hold you. I also felt that as you allow yourself to be held and comforted that He would take the battle out of your hands. The battle that you are facing belongs to Him. It is too big for you and as you turn your focus on being loved by Him and trusting Him, it will take away the swirl of warfare that has exhausted you. I will welcome you and be a Father to you and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty. 2 Corinthians 6:18. He has offered an open invitation into rest and comfort. God’s arms are spread wide to receive you and to relieve you of the burden of the battle. Faith and hope are found in rest and peace. Even now His arms are wrapping around you; breathe deeply the fragrance of His love. |
Sign of the Olive TreeTwo years ago our oldest daughter gave us a going away gift as we prepared to move from California to Oregon. It was a beautiful gardening pot with a tiny seedling of an olive tree planted in it. For us it was the signature of God that it was time to go to our new home. Noah received an olive branch from the dove as a sign that it was time to leave the ark in order to establish his new home on the new land that was before him. When we arrived in Oregon our little seedling was not doing very well with the colder climate. Somehow it survived but it never grew. Two years has passed (as of June 13th) since we arrived in Oregon and for the first time that little seedling has begun to grow. It not only is growing but it is thriving! Like the butterfly on it’s pot it has gone from a caterpillar to a butterfly. This morning when I looked out at it, growing both high and wide, I felt the Spirit say that it is a sign of a time that His Church will thrive. |
Anouncement of Hope“It’s going to be better than you think!”
I don’t know what you’ve been waiting for but your Father surely does. Although your mind and the enemy of your soul may shout doubt and defeat, the Lord has good news for you. Romans 5:5 says, And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. Hope was not poured into our hearts in order to bring us to places of disappointment but to reveal the love of God that never disappoints.I find that more often than not right before the breakthrough there is the most warfare against our hope and the truth about the love of God in our life. When the battle rages and you feel like letting go of hope then it is time to let the voice of truth come forth. Let both praises and declarations of who He is ring forth with clarity and boldness until your soul comes back into alignment with what your spirit already knows. John 16:13 says, But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. The Spirit comes and guides us into all truth and that truth gives us hope; a hope that does not disappoint. We are children of God and our Father loves us with a love that exceeds every expectation. |
