“Honor the Lord, you heavenly beings; honor the Lord for his glory and strength. Honor the Lord for the glory of his name. Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.”
Psalms 29:1-2 Today we worship the Lord and give Him the honor that He deserves. The Lord has done great things for us and we are glad! Psalm 29 goes on to talk about the sound of God’s voice. As we worship Him with shouts of “Glory”, the sound of His voice comes forth, “The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic. The voice of the Lord splits the mighty cedars; the Lord shatters the cedars of Lebanon. He makes Lebanon’s mountains skip like a calf; he makes Mount Hermon leap like a young wild ox. The voice of the Lord strikes with bolts of lightning. The voice of the Lord makes the barren wilderness quake; the Lord shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. The voice of the Lord twists mighty oaks and strips the forests bare. In his Temple everyone shouts, “Glory!”” Psalms 29:4-9 His voice rebukes the Accuser, His voice shatters the mountains that stand in your way, His voice declares innocence over your life and breakthrough for your needs. As we release our voices in worship, He releases His voice to shift all that needs to be shifted. The power of praise and the power of His voice come together to break the barrenness and bring forth beauty and prosperity. Psalm 29 concludes with these words, “The Lord rules over the floodwaters. The Lord reigns as king forever. The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace.” Psalms 29:10-11 He is King! He rules over all of creation and it is He alone who gives strength and peace to those who put their trust in Him. Today we join with the Heavenly beings to Shout “Glory!” We pour out our praise because He is worthy. Let all the earth declare His beauty, His majesty and His might. We place our trust fully in Him knowing that the sound of His voice goes before us and opens the way for us to walk in victory. “We give you the glory that you deserve today!”

We all know the verse from Zechariah 4:6 but I’d like to share it with you out of the Message translation, The Messenger-Angel said, “Can’t you tell?” “No, sir,” I said. Then he said, “This is God’s Message to Zerubbabel: ‘You can’t force these things. They only come about through my Spirit,’ says God-of-the-Angel-Armies. ‘So, big mountain, who do you think you are? Next to Zerubbabel you’re nothing but a molehill. He’ll proceed to set the Cornerstone in place, accompanied by cheers: Yes! Yes! Do it!’” (Zechariah 4:6) “You can’t force these things…” or “Not by might nor by power…”. As we yield to the powerful might of the Spirit even the mountains before us become like molehills. Though the enemy will cast shadows that loom like tall mountains over us, they are but molehills before the Lord. Our authority and identity as sons and daughters of the Most High God is terrifying before every enemy and every demonic force. They tremble as the Cornerstone of Christ is securely place in our lives and we yield fully to His Spirit and to the will of our Father. Today we once again yield to the work of the Spirit of God, who causes mountains to tremble and demons to flee. We declare that Jesus is the cornerstone of our lives and of our families. Though the Earth is shaken, we shall not be; for His Kingdom cannot be shaken. We conclude the first 8-day segment of this 40-days of Yielding with declaring that we put Jesus our Cornerstone in place! I hear the Lord speaking with great authority the words from Zechariah 3:2, “The LORD said to Satan, “The LORD rebuke you, Satan! The LORD, who has chosen Jerusalem, rebuke you! Is not this man a burning stick snatched from the fire?”” God will not be mocked and He will rebuke the one that has accused and harassed you, your family and His people. Jesus is the Cornerstone of our lives!
“But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.” I Corinthians 6:17 One spirit with Him? Have you ever thought about these words? If you read through the verses prior to 1 Corinthians 6:17 you will find that this is compared to intimacy between a man and woman when “the two become one flesh”. Paul warns against being joined physically with a harlot because of the joining and “oneness” that occurs. We are temples of the Holy Spirit; therefore we are to walk in purity in both our bodies and our spirits. As we continue to stand before the Lord as Joshua the high priest did in Zechariah 3, we are yielding to the work of His Spirit that will remove all places in our bodies and in our spirits that have been defiled or joined to anything that separates us from being “one spirit with the Lord”. Today, as you come before our merciful God, ask the Spirit to restore the purity in your body and in your spirit. We will live in one spirit with the Lord and therefore in unity with His people. Let us offer ourselves as holy and living sacrifices as we read in Romans 12:1-2, “And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice—the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him. Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans 12:1-2 People have a hard time letting go of having control. We have been taught in life that letting go is to be “out of control” or it is to become passive. Yet the “letting go” with God is the yielding that allows transformation. As His sons and daughters we understand that His ways and His wisdom are higher than the ways and wisdom of any man. As we surrender to the work of His Spirit we let go of all that holds us back from the fullness of unity (oneness) with Him. Surrender creates a yielding that says, “Not my will but your will be done.” Let go of all that you’ve been trying to control. Give God full control; give Him both the good and the bad. It is by grace that your life was redeemed and it is by grace that your will be transformed. Your part is surrender. As the words to the old song go, All to Jesus I surrender, All to Him I freely give; I will ever love and trust Him, In His presence daily live. I surrender all, I surrender all. All to Thee, my blessed Savior, I surrender all. All to Jesus I surrender, Humbly at His feet I bow, Worldly pleasures all forsaken; Take me, Jesus, take me now. All to Jesus I surrender, Make me, Savior, wholly Thine; Let me feel Thy Holy Spirit, Truly know that Thou art mine. All to Jesus I surrender, Lord, I give myself to Thee; Fill me with Thy love and power, Let Thy blessing fall on me. All to Jesus I surrender, Now I feel the sacred flame. Oh, the joy of full salvation! Glory, glory to His name! Today we surrender all. We belong to Him and all that we have we gladly surrender to Him. For in His hands everything thrives and is blessed. What we hold onto remains limited but what we surrender to Him becomes miraculous. Let go and let God! Last night I was suddenly awakened with a phrase going through my mind as a declaration. The words were,
“Where Satan has tried to conform you to the world, God is about to transform you by His Spirit.” This naturally brought my mind to the verse in Romans 12:2 that says, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” As this supernatural work occurs you will be able to walk in the wisdom of knowing His perfect will and Word. Today, invite the Spirit of the Lord to transform every part of your life and mind that has been conformed to the patterns of this world. The patterns of the world cloud discernment, judgement and understanding. The renewing of our minds bring us into clarity and wisdom. I come into agreement with the prayers of Jesus right now that you and your loved ones will be transformed; having your minds renewed. I declare with you that every place that has been conformed to the patterns of this world are now transformed by the power of His Spirit and the washing of His Word. We do not belong to the world any longer (John 17:16) but are now citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven (Philippians 3:20). He will transform us to the patterns of His Kingdom and to the ways of our King. As we continue to go through the first eight days (five 8-day segments within the 40 days) we can discover from the blueprint that the Lord laid out before us, from Zechariah 3, that there is a battle over our lives and destinies.
“Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him.” Zechariah 3:1 Satan was standing on the opposite side of Joshua from where the Lord stood “in order to oppose him”. To oppose someone means to disapprove of and attempt to prevent, especially by way of an argument. The enemy actively resists God’s plans for your life. He attempts to persuade you to resist as well through his arguments against God’s faithfulness, character and the truth of His will and Word. Satan refuses to comply with God’s ways and so he continually shouts arguments against truth. When we begin to shift away from the perfect alignment with God’s will and Word we take upon our lives a lie. which in turn, is an accusation against the Holy One. All lies equate to accusation and every accusation is rooted in an accusation against the Lord Himself. This is why we are allowing the Spirit of the Lord, along with the help of angels, to remove the accusations and lies that have shifted us from being fully aligned with “oneness of spirit” with Christ (1 Corinthians 6:17). “God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:24 The Lord is even now rebuking Satan on your behalf. Just as He did with Joshua the high priest, He fights on our behalf. I saw a vision of this scene where Joshua stands in between the Lord and Satan. But in the vision Joshua no longer was content to stand in the middle (between two opinions). Instead he rushed to the Lord. When he did this he came into absolute alignment with Christ and he no longer heard the arguments that the enemy shouted to resist him. I saw oneness, unity and authority restored as well as a protection from the enemies assaults. Today, rush to the arms of your Beloved Savior! We no longer want to stand between two opinions or even allow our ears to hear the arguments and accusations against our God and His will for our lives. We fall into the arms of Mercy and Grace and let Him fight for us. “Be it unto me according to your word.” Luke 1:38 Today as we took communion together we heard the words,
“…a brand plucked from the fire.” (Zechariah 3:2) The Spirit of the Lord has plucked us from the fire; from the penalty of sin and death. We ask Him to come and pluck our loved ones and our nations from the fire. May He come and wash all the soot off of our lives, our loved ones and our land, as well as any scent of sin or death. His body was broken and His blood was shed for our redemption and we now stand before Him in the righteousness of Jesus Christ. We plead the blood of the Lamb over all. The voice of the Accuser is now replaced with the sweet sound of our Savior who calls out, “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 Today…come and let Him give you rest from all the heavy burdens that you are carrying. Let Him carry your life, your loved ones and the land that you dwell in. His yoke is easy and there is rest for your souls. We are entering a time that the Spirit has spoken the words,
“I am about to do for My people what they have not been able to do for themselves.” As He spoke this He took me to three separate passages of scripture. The first was the 3rd chapter of Zechariah where the account of when Joshua the high priest is brought into the presence of the Lord with filthy garments and Satan is accusing him. The Lord rebukes the Accuser and instructs the angels of the Lord to change his garments. It is a chapter of miraculous restoration and removing of iniquities (read this chapter). This is a picture of what the Spirit of the Lord and His angels will do for us as we finish out this year and posture our lives to yield to His work within us. Second the Lord took me to Luke 1:38 where Mary has just been visited by an angel who is announcing that the Holy Spirit will come upon her and she will bare a child. Her response in this verse is as follows, “Then Mary said, “Behold the maidservant of the Lord! Let it be to me according to your word.” Luke 1:38 This is the posture that the Spirit is looking for within His people. We need to say, “Be it unto me according to your word.” Finally, the Lord spoke His words from Zechariah 4:6, “So he answered and said to me: “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ Says the LORD of hosts.” Zechariah 4:6 As we yield to His Spirit, He will do for us what we cannot do for ourselves. He will remove accusations that we have worn as garments. The root of all accusations believed and agreed with are actually accusations against the character and faithfulness of God. He will remove these iniquities that have soiled our lives and removed authority. |
